There is a season for everything, a time for every occupation under heaven…a time for planting, a time for uprooting. (Ecclesiastes 3)

Newsletter, it might be a season of reaping and of harvest, a season for uprooting, a time of thanksgiving for the benefits provided by the earth through the toil of one or many, early-comers or late-comers, who have planted, fertilized, nurtured, and pruned. Recent extreme weather systems termed by experts as ‘generational’ have adversely affected many countries and cultures. News photographs of the demolished and flooded Sukkoth preparations erected by our Jewish friends for their Festival of the Ingathering, or the Feast of Booths, were disturbing to see. It would behoove us to continue to pray for the health and safety of all those suffering around us, in both our religious communities as well as the among the laity who continue to support us in many different ways.

Superiors are kindly asked to continue sending us news stories of interest to members of the congregation, and to contribute obituaries and photographs in a timely fashion. God’s abundant blessings to all throughout the coming months.
